Limited number：15 students for 2021.

The requirements for applicants

1. Non-China Nationality with senior high school or equivalent education level and healthy physically and mentally;

2. HSK 4 certificate at least or higher, those with certain skills of English preferred;

3. Interested in learning Chinese and having essential knowledge of Chinese culture, society and economy;

4. Affordable to other expenses than scholarship, such as transportation, teaching materials, bedding;

5. Aged 18 years at least.

About the semesters and teaching language

1. Studying duration: 3 years for Junior college students (2 semesters per school year);

2.Spring semester: from March to June (Summer vacation falls in July &August);

3. Autumn semester: from September to December(Winter vacation falls in  January& February);

4. All the courses are taught in the Chinese language.

Qualifications and graduation

1.Pre-admission candidates during the epidemic period will study in the multi-media network course ; After students are admitted,credits recognition and transformation will be conducted;

2.The candidates are arranged to teaching department and mixed  with Chinese students in the same class ;

3. After being satisfied with requirements of all the courses and thesis project, the students can be awarded the graduation certificate in the Chinese language with English translation.

Charge standard

Scholarship

1.Those who are satisfied with the requirements will receive scholarship .It consists of two pieces with 10 months for a school year,that is,the basic scholarship of every student obtains 800 RMB monthly and each student will have the average reward scholarship of 400 RMB monthly.

2. The number of scholarships is accounted for 80% of the enrollment in that year.The top 80% of students will have basic scholarship based on comprehensive assessment monthly.3.The reward scholarship will be divided into five different grades and awarded in the second semester,according to academic achievements of last term.

About the campus Life

1. Dorms:6 people share a dorm equipped with beds, wardrobes, desks, toilet and water heater are available in dorm building.

2. School canteens: Three meals a day are served, and students can pay by campus card. Approximately 600 RMB Yuan per person one month is sufficient if you choose School canteens. Of course, you can spend as you like.

How to apply

1. Applicants need to send the following materials in electronic version to 2443252726@qq.com.

●Application form for international students ;

●Scanned copy of valid passport ( at least 6 months’ validity);

●Scanned copy of senior high school diploma or higher( attached academic records and notarized);

●Scanned copy of HSK 4 certificate or higher;

●Scanned copy of passport photo ( bring 4 in paper version on arrival);

●Certificate for no-criminal record in applicant’s country.

2. Those who have been admitted to our school shall receive the JVTC admission notice in Chinese version with English translation and the visa application form for foreign students (JW202). Applicants must apply for "X" visa from China foreign affairs institute abroad holding the above documents.

3. Freshmen should arrive at the college on the stipulated date with the admission notice and JW202 form. The admission will be cancelled if not arrival within the first two weeks of school year without any reasonable statement to the college. The applicants can’t get the official registration until they have qualified results of health check organized by the college.

Brief Introduction of Jiuquan Vocational Technical College

Jiuquan Vocational Technical College (JVTC) is a full-time higher vocational college approved by the provincial government of Gansu in 2001.For many years,teachers constantly innovate education and teaching concepts, improve school-running system and talent training mode,  strive to create a number of firsts in many fields of higher vocational education in the western region.Based on important strategies and regional industry distribution and socialist orientation ,they make great efforts to strengthen internal construction, actively promote international cooperation,comprehensively enhance social services and influence,further uplift the quality of teaching and comprehensive competitiveness。

College was listed among the first batch of national demonstration higher vocational colleges, selected as national education system reform pilot universities in 2011,chosen as the first one of the 100 vocational education of modern apprenticeship pilot colleges among vocational colleges in 2015 ,awarded as excellent school of the 5th Huang Yanpei's vocational education in 2016, rated as national and high-level vocational colleges and specialty construction plan with Chinese characteristics in 2019.

Occupying around304,400 square meters construction area , possessing 500 million yuan of fixed assets(not including land assets) and  more than 85.24 million yuan of teaching and scientific research equipment,13 schools of JVTC ,including school of new energy engineering, school of chemical engineering, school of civil engineering,school of mechanical and electrical engineering, school of bioengineering, school of tourism and cooking, school of economic management, school of education and art, school of medicine, school of continuing education, school of international  educational cooperation,school of Marxism, school of physical education and health ,and 1 affiliated Jiuquan secondary school ,have a total of 20,000 student, including 12,991 full-time vocational students,16 international students , and 7,111 adult education student,576 applied undergraduates studying in the college, which cooperated with Lanzhou University of Technology.There are 495 full-time teachers (excluding teachers of secondary vocational school), of which professors and associate professors accounted for 29.9% ,postgraduate degree or above accounted for 33.9%, Double Teachers accounted for 47.3%, with 1 national teachers' teaching innovation team , 2 national excellent teachers,4 winners of Gansu Province Gardener Award, 4  Gansu provincial college famous teachers,6 teaching master of Gansu Provincial College Young Teachers Talent Award, 4 Gansu province higher education school teaching teams,a total of 40 Gansu teaching achievement awards,more than 30 provincial and municipal science and technology progress awards.

JVTC opened 35 out-of-college training bases, 18 high-level workshops, 4 mixed-ownership productive training bases, 9 cultivation primary workshops，and 10.1MW photovoltaic power station rated as state-level production and education fusion productive training base.

There are 60 higher vocational specialties,classified into 16 major categories,including agriculture and forestry , animal husbandry and fishery ,environment and safety, energy sources power and materials,civil construction,water conservancy,equipment manufacturing,biology and chemical industry, medicine and food,transportation,electronic information,medicine and health,finance and commerce,tourism,culture and art,education and sports. College has formed a basic pattern of coordinated development of various categories,involved the three stages of national, provincial and college ,with 1 high-level professional group with Chinese characteristics,4 demonstration majors,4 first batch of  modern apprenticeship pilot specialties,4 Gansu province characteristic specialties of colleges and universities ,1 innovation and entrepreneurship reform pilot specialty, 7 provincial vocational education key specialties,9 high-quality vocational projects(groups).

In the future,college will advance with the times , strengthen its own construction,promote school-running level,continuously enhance the ability of social services,strive to build a high-level vocational college with Chinese characteristics.
